1. SparkPress Blog
As a SparkPoint publishing intern, one of my responsibilities was writing posts for the company's SparkPress Blog. I wrote up to five posts each month from May to December 2020. You can find some of my blog posts below.
2. American Philanthropic
While working as an independent contractor for American Philanthropic, I provided writing, editing, and proofreading services for nonprofit clients across the country. I crafted and edited direct mail, letters of inquiry, meeting request letters, marketing emails, grant proposals, reports, and social media posts. I also had the opportunity to help a client proofread their nonfiction book. Below, I've included a blog post that shares some of the skills I learned while working with American Philanthropic.
3. Superstition Review Blog
Below, you'll find samples of my work from the Superstition Review blog, which I managed from May to August 2019 as a summer intern. The blog publishes posts in several categories including Contributor and Intern Updates, Authors Talks, Literary Events, and Guest Posts. I have also included slides featuring the magazine's 23rd and 24th issues, which I edited and built out in Drupal using HTML. Lastly, I highlighted a few posts I crafted during my position as a social media manager during the summer of 2020.
4. Times Media Group
I began writing for Times Media Group—a newspaper company based in Arizona—as a high school intern in the summer of 2016. I continued to write for this newspaper company from June 2017 to March 2020 as a freelance writer. During this time, I published up to three community events calendars each week as well as an occasional article. View my work below.
